Broadway is a mecca for any theater group or dance in the world. This is where thousands of people gather to see the best shows, from diverse backgrounds and styles. And this is where the company of Venezuelan dancer Siudy Garrido is presenting her show Between worlds, starting next Friday.

The show consists of two acts of 45 minutes each and have a conceptual scenery and clean so that you can highlight the choreography and costumes. Along with 20 artists on stage, Garrido shares a montage full of local touches.

TalCual In an exclusive interview with the artist shares the details of this show, which features a cast from Europe, USA and Venezuela, whose assembly has been made between Miami and New York.

- How did the invitation to assemble on Broadway between worlds?

-The main engine to get to Broadway is our producer and director Paul Croce, he is the one who really has raised this great project and has led to internationalization. More than two years working on this project that is finally a reality. Get

investors to risk putting this show on Broadway, to find the right theater for the production, so are many factors to put you together for a while here.
- This is the first time he appears in this space? How would you describe the experience?

"It was my dream since childhood, and make it happen as part of Broadway and my own company is something indescribable.

-Although flamenco in Venezuela is increasingly important, there are rooms where you can make great productions, what technical and technological elements has been incorporated into this piece?

"We're expecting a high level technical team with broad experience in Broadway. We have made new lighting design, sound and scenery, as we have worked on new designs of costumes and makeup.

For this opportunity we will have a budget that allows us to place ourselves at the height of the other shows in New York in what he referred staging is like watching the Between Worlds premiere in Venezuela with a few layers of paint and a process of development and maturity of 3 years.

, flamenco and urban dances are part of this show, is in favor of the fusion of flamenco with other genres? Why?

-mergers are very delicate, in the case of a show between worlds have merged, but not with flamenco. This is the magic that this show offers, you can see how such different genres can be combined in a single scene without losing its authenticity.

Flamenco flamenco never fails urban genres as well as maintaining its essence at all times. I think it is very important to keep the roots and the same is open to other genres that help the growth of this art.

"It's the first time a Venezuelan company is located for three months of the season with seven performances a week off Broadway, what are your expectations?

-To succeed, like the show and have the same acceptance that has taken so far is a great responsibility to complete seven performances a week for three months, a 450-seat hall.
